Peers’ Work-in-Progress Updates

Okay, so since it’s the last week of the quarter, and I imagine everyone is feeling a bit overwhelmed, the primary purpose for the last week in this course will be to give you a chance to give and get feedback on your major research project for the course. As I explain on the dialectical journals page for the week and in the journal itself, you will be watching and responding to one another’s work-in-progress project updates to not only offer feedback, but also to see the wide variety of research project that are happening (and to possibly get some inspiration of your own in the process).

For the material this week, you’ll be watching 4 different videos and responding to the author’s reactions and questions in the comments.

  • You should watch each video all the way through and read the writer/creator’s reactions before responding in order to ensure that you are offering helpful and useful feedback for them.
  • While it might be affected by the timing of everything, I strongly encourage you to watch and respond to videos that are not from your group members. (Since you’ll be meeting in groups one last time this week–to talk about the research projects and your concerns and whatnot–you’ll already be engaging with feedback from your group members. This is a chance to broaden the amount and kind of feedback you get…)

You should do this as early as possible in the week in order to ensure that everyone has ample time to revise with feedback having been received.
