Week 10 Dialectical Journals

So, as I explained in class and on the dialectical journal this week, we’ll be doing things a bit differently for the final Dialectical Journal. We’ll be using this space to help you not only get a lot of feedback on your videos, but also to see what everyone else is doing and how your peers are approaching the final project. Additionally, everyone in the class will be working in the same journal this week – just a chance for everyone to get a sense of the class as a whole and get multiple perspectives.

In the left column, everyone needs to post a link to their “update” video. This can be linked through Google Drive (via the “Share” option) or via YouTube (whichever you prefer). And in the right column, you’ll write for a bit to help guide your feedback and/or explain whatever you feel you want to explain about your project and/or video. (Basically, you can use your reactions, responses, and reflections to your own video to help contextualize your video for your classmates, express what you would like suggestions about, or just add additional information you think might be helpful.)

In addition, you’ll be responsible for watching and commenting on at least 4 different videos. (These can be responses to others’ comments on a video, but you should be in conversation about 4 different videos in total.) Additionally, try to spread the commenting around to ensure that everyone has sufficient feedback.

All of the material this week will be these videos, so be sure to watch them all the way through and offer others the same kind of attention you would like in return. 🙂
