Recommend doing in your Individual Google Folder
In a new document, do the following:
- (Re)Read through the Major Research prompt. (I suggest either copying and pasting it into a different document, printing it out, or downloading it as a pdf to have it readily available.)
- Make notes, highlight, annotate… do what you need to do in order to understand the prompt and what it is asking of you.
- Rewrite the prompt in your own words. (This can be a short summary of what the prompt is asking you to do or how you might explain it to someone who doesn’t have the prompt.)
- Spend some time writing down your initial thoughts. How do you feel about it? What ideas do you have on first read? What might you write about? What are your concerns? What questions do you have? Some of you might be further along than others in this process – that’s totally fine. Just articulate your thoughts about the project as they stand now… wherever you are in the process.
